Refund & Cancellation Policy – KizVerse

KizVerse – Refund & Cancellation Policy

(Conform Dutch Consumer Law & EU Regulations)

1. Scope and Applicability

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all digital ticket purchases made via the KizVerse platform for events organized by KizVerse itself and for events organized by third parties.

By completing a purchase, the consumer explicitly agrees to this policy.

2. Right of Withdrawal (Herroepingsrecht)

In accordance with Article 6:230p(e) of the Dutch Civil Code, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to agreements for leisure services relating to a specific date or period, including event tickets.

Therefore:

  • Event tickets are non-refundable once purchased, unless stated otherwise in this policy.

3. Cancellation of an Event by the Organizer

If an event is fully cancelled by the organizer:

  • The consumer is entitled to a full refund of the ticket price, including mandatory fees.

  • Alternatively, the organizer may offer:

    • A replacement ticket for a new date, or

    • A credit or voucher of equal value.

Refunds will be processed via the original payment method within a reasonable period.

4. Event Rescheduling or Significant Changes

If an event is rescheduled:

  • The original ticket remains valid for the new date.

  • If the consumer is unable to attend the new date, a refund request must be submitted within 48 hours after the official reschedule announcement.

Changes in the lineup, DJs, teachers, workshops, timetable, or venue do not constitute a cancellation and do not automatically entitle the consumer to a refund, provided the event still proceeds as scheduled.

5. Consumer-Initiated Cancellation & No-Show

Refunds will not be granted in cases of:

  • Voluntary cancellation by the consumer

  • Failure to attend the event (“no-show”)

  • Late arrival

  • Illness, injury, travel issues, or personal circumstances

  • Force majeure on the consumer’s side

6. Transfer of Tickets

Unless explicitly stated otherwise:

  • Tickets may be transferred to another person.

  • The original purchaser remains responsible for the correct use of the ticket.

  • Commercial resale or resale for profit without written approval is prohibited.

7. Giftcards

KizVerse Giftcards:

  • Are non-refundable

  • Cannot be exchanged for cash

  • Remain valid until the stated expiration date

Purchases made using a gift card are subject to the same refund conditions as standard ticket purchases.

8. Third-Party Events

For events organized by third parties:

  • The refund and cancellation conditions of the event organizer apply.

  • KizVerse acts solely as a ticketing intermediary and is not the contracting party for the event itself.

  • KizVerse may assist in communication, but is not liable for refund decisions made by third-party organizers.

9. Technical Errors & Incorrect Payments

In case of demonstrable technical errors (such as duplicate payments or system malfunctions):

  • The consumer must contact KizVerse support within 48 hours after purchase.

  • Verified errors will result in a full refund.

10. Chargebacks and Misuse

Initiating a chargeback without prior contact may result in:

  • Temporary or permanent account suspension

  • Restriction of future purchases

KizVerse reserves the right to refuse refunds in cases of fraud, misuse, or abuse.
